Geothermal Heating/Cooling Systems

Innis Well Drilling, LLC is now offering well-based geothermal heating/cooling systems. Geothermal heating/cooling systems utilize the constant temperature of the earth to heat your home in the winter and cool it in the summer. This is achieved through the process of heat exchange which is similar to that of a refrigerator. In the winter, heat is extracted from the ground via the well and distributed throughout your home using forced air or radiant tubing. In the summer, heat is extracted from the air in your home and deposited back into the ground through the well. This makes for an extremely efficient system which can completely replace your existing oil-fired heating system.

Why choose a geothermal heating/cooling system?

-It is one of the most efficient heating/cooling systems available today

-The initial investment is recouped in only a few years

-It can cut your energy consumption by 20 to 50%

-It provides more consistent temperatures than oil-fired systems

-It is environmentally friendly with no air pollution

The federal government is currently offering a 30% tax credit for the installation of a residential geothermal heating/cooling system, so now is a great time to go green! For more information on this tax credit visit The Tax Incentives Assistance Project.

Well Drilling

The cost of drilling a new water well is derived from the amount of casing (20 foot minimum) to bedrock and the amount of drilling needed to find water, plus the cost of the drive shoe and the well cap. In some areas where well drilling is more difficult we use our underreamer system to drive the casing into bedrock which requires the use of a more expensive drive shoe. Our per-foot well drilling prices sometimes change due to the fluctuating cost of casing and other materials. Although it is impossible to tell exactly how much a water well will cost beforehand, our average well in 2008 was about $3500.

Pump Systems Installation and Repair Service

We install new pump systems using Sta-Rite pumps and Well-X-Trol tanks which are covered by a five year warranty. WellMate large capacity and low profile tanks are available for special applications. Constant pressure systems are available using Grundfos Smart Flo Constant Water Pressure Systems. Goulds and Myers brand pumps are available at customer request. We also provide full repair service for existing pump systems.

Filtration Systems Installation

Water quality can be affected by the presence of minerals and/or bacteria in the well aquifer, causing a range of problems for the well owner. We install Blake Water Systems filtration systems for well owners who are having problems with their water quality.

Video Well Inspection

There are a variety of problems that can occur down the hole which can impede the proper operation of your water system. Using our underwater video camera we can accurately identify the cause and depth of any problems down the hole.

Well Cleaning

Sometimes, problems such as cave-ins, scale or slime buildup take a well out of service. In these cases, the well needs to be cleaned to remove these obstructions. We use our drilling rig to blow out the debris while testing the flow rate to make sure that the well is producing enough water.
